Long Service Medals:

The most highly prized award in the world of Amateur Theatre is undoubtedly the NODA Long Service Medal signifying 25 years active and unpaid service to the amateur movement, on stage or off. Every 5 years thereafter, provided you remain in active service, you become eligible for an additional Silver Bar to the medal, culminating after 50 years service with the Gold Bar, and after 60 years with the most prestigious award of all, the Diamond Bar.

Normally presented by Societies to individual members as an expression of thanks for services rendered, the Medals and Bars, as well as Badges signifying 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service and Pins signifying 55, 65 and 70 years of service from eleven years of age, are available on personal application provided such application is supported by confirmatory evidence from an official of your Society. The service does not have to be continuous, nor does it have to be with one Society alone, but the necessary official evidence of active unpaid service over the appropriate number of years must be provided. Application forms and full details of the eligibility rules can be downloaded from the publications page.
